Jacquilyn Leath, BS, MS

Chief Executive Officer

Jacquilyn Leath is an agile, communicative and motivational healthcare executive with a proven history of leading organizations to success. She is well-versed in strategic planning, policy planning, organizational development, leadership development and working with startup organizations. She is passionate about being a servant leader—leading from the head, heart and hands.

 

Jacquilyn holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in Organizational Development and Leadership. She is also an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certified Executive and Professional Coach. Jacquilyn is committed to patients and their families and looks forward to helping Michael’s House continue to grow and flourish so that it can provide even more life-changing services to people in need. 

Loralie Yzerman, RN, BScN, CCRN

Director of Nursing

Loralie grew up on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia. There, she completed her Nursing Degree and a certification in Critical Care, before relocating to California in 1991. Loralie enjoyed a career in Cardiac and Trauma Intensive Care and in 1999 received the prestigious Excellence in Caring Practices Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. A love of travel led her to pursue Infectious Disease research around the globe, including Australia and Asia. Loralie settled in Palm Springs, learned to golf, took an opportunity as a Director of Nursing in addiction recovery and discovered a new passion; both for the patients and the nurses who care for them. She has been at Michael’s House since 2022 and is very excited to be a member of the team that brings hope and healing to so many.

Shayna Timothy, BA, CADC III

Director of Recovery Services

Shayna, a native of Palm Springs, Ca. received her education at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2011. Her passion to help others with mental health and substance use disorders was influenced by familial history of addiction. This drove her to continue her education to learn more effective approaches of working with individuals struggling in their lives. In 2016, she became a CADC III. Throughout the course of her career, Shayna has served in multiple capacities in the recovery industry from a Lead Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker, Supervisor of Addiction Technicians/ Site Safety Officer, Facility Risk Manager, and as of recent, the Director of Recovery Services for Michael’s House. Shayna, with 13 years of experience, is very appreciative for Michael’s House and proud to serve as a member of the team to bring hope and healing to those in need.

Lori Paris, SHRM-CP, PHR

Director of Human Resources

Lori Paris has more than twenty years of experience with non-profit and for-profit organizations in a variety of human resources roles such as Manager, Regional Manager, Director, and consultant. Ms. Paris has been a valued member of multiple leadership teams and a trusted advisor to CEOs and Division Presidents.   She is well versed in human resources best practices, staff training, employee relations, leadership management, and strategic planning. Lori holds dual professional certifications, SHRM-CP and PHR. She has also been trained in Adult Mental Health First Aid and Harassment Prevention. Volunteering and giving back to the field of human resources is important to Lori and she has served in various board positions for a number of human resources organizations in California.

Sheila Hunt, MA, LPC

Director of Business Development

Sheila Hunt, MA, LPC is the Director of Business Development for Michael’s House. Sheila has worked in the behavioral health field for over 30 years and her unique mix of business development, administrative and clinical roles in a wide range of behavioral health settings has allowed her to advocate for populations in need as well as meet the needs of treatment centers. Sheila is a strong community advocate for behavioral health treatment and believes that working closely with community partners to provide a quality continuum of treatment services benefits the patients we mutually serve.
